Caught between directives to maintain full control of the vast territories they have conquered and the desperate struggle to survive against increasingly strengthening Soviet armies, German forces are stretched to their limits.īut an inevitable Axis decline is not the only path that lies before you in this Panzer Corps 2 Campaign DLC! TWO FULL CAMPAIGNS IN CHAPTER 7 OF THE AXIS OPERATIONS GRAND CAMPAIGNThe Axis Operations 1944 DLC Campaign is the first DLC to offer two entire campaigns that are completely separate and independent from one another. Wehrmacht forces across the Eastern Front find themselves under immense pressure from a resurgent Red Army. So I find UoC/UoC2 to be more challenging to do well than PC.The war on the Eastern Front has reached fever pitch. Make a mistake and it will be through your lines, cutting into your supply and crippling your ability to attack as a result. The AI is pretty competent, among the best that single player wargames have to offer. Some complain that UoC/UoC2 have a "puzzle-like" aspect and don't reflect real battles. UoC2 adds in some additional HQ abilities, stressing combined arms attacks (suppressive fire, feints, etc). The enemy can, of course, do the same to you. Cut off the enemy's supply lines and you cripple his ability to fight.

Other wargame companies (Matrix, John Tiller) should take a long look at the UI and try harder to emulate that. It also doesn't overwhelm you with complexity. UoC/UoC2 are among the very best wargames in terms of finding information (supply lines, unit strength, reinforcements, etc). Typically I'll wait for a game to go half off before buying.Ī better UI. I liked the original UoC so much that UoC2 was bought on release, not waiting on a sale.

PC was a good game, but I prefer UoC/UoC2. I haven't played PC2 yet, so I can't weigh in on it.
